Theory Lesson 1 - The Staff

This is lesson one in our series on music theory, and this lesson is going to be all about the musical staff. The sounds or music or what you hear are represented as notes on the musical staff now the staff is made up of 5 lines that are counted from the bottom up, and there are four spaces and they are counted the same way: from the bottom up.

Now how high a note sounds, the higher it is placed on the bars and lines and the same goes for the lower notes being on the lower bars and lines.

Remember to keep practicing!

Don't forget to do the exercises in the video! I know the editing is kinda crappy, but I'll get better, I promise!(:

Next time we will be talking about the treble clef, then the bass clef and then we are going to put together the Grand Staff. Don't tune out now! I'll see you next time!
